For example, if your well-used vehicle is in poor outer condition, we will need to repair or replace any panels, doors, or deck lids that are heavily damaged. Nearly every car has at least a dent or two, so we’ll need to pull those out or smooth them with filler. The old paint is also removed through sanding so that the new coating has a clean start and will be unlikely to peel. A coat of good-quality primer is also applied before painting. Once color is applied, it must cure. Then, a clear coat is used to protect the color. In some cases, the base and clear paints are mixed and applied as a single layer. It’s critical to allow adequate drying time and complete the necessary sanding between coats as recommended to ensure the quality of the paint job. While we’re interested in returning your vehicle to you as soon as possible, we also stick to the process without cutting corners to achieve the best result.
